September 12, 2025

September 15, 2025

Compliance with the EDGAR Next system will become mandatory for filing. The Legacy EDGAR system credentials will no longer work for new filings.

• The next step is to gather the current EDGAR access codes like CIK, CCC, and Passphrase. These access codes are needed for the enrollment process. It is advised to check whether the codes have been updated since September 2019. If not reset, then filers are required to update them. 

• Once the codes have been checked, filers are required to designate account administrators. They should identify at least two individuals who will serve in this critical role. But in the case of individuals or single-member companies, only one administrator is needed. 

• Filers can also participate in the EDGAR Next Beta if it is still available. It allows them to explore the test environment and become familiar with the new dashboard

• It is essential to coordinate with filing agents and third parties to discuss how filing processes will change and how delegation of authority will work.
